What is this fellow saying? Our nation's future development depends primarily on ourselves .THAT IS THE NAKED TRUTH. Even if countries like the US doled out 5 billion dollars to Ghana annually for our healthcare sector we would find ways to waste, steal or misuse it.That is the painful truth.
Look at countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam who either started at the same level like us or from a worse position but who have left us in the dust.Today they have well developed infrastructure encompassing Great Healthcare, Transport and communication, Education etc.Most of these countries were even more ethnically and racially diverse than Ghana. HOW DID THEY ACHIEVE THESE REMARKABLE RESULTS?
ANSWER: UNITY OF PURPOSE AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ALL THOSE IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY. The populations of these countries cherish education and have a great work ethic- they work harder and for longer than the average Ghanaian LIVING IN GHANA.
If the average worker in Ghana increased their productivity by just 10-15% Ghana would be transformed in less than a decade. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE POOR STATE WE FIND OURSELVES IN. The very fact that Ghanaians living and working abroad are generally far more productive is proof positive that we can do much much better in our own motherland.
