The Ministry of Health Ghana has officially rolled out its recruitment and posting plan for qualified health professionals across the country.

In a statement issued on April 15, 2026, and signed by its spokesperson, Tony Goodman, the Ministry directed all applicants to validate their eligibility on the recruitment portal using their verified PIN or index number.

“Applicants are required to visit the Ministry of Health recruitment portal using their verified PIN or index number to validate their status. This process will enable applicants to determine whether they are in good standing with their respective councils,” the statement said.

According to the Ministry, the validation process is intended to ensure that applicants meet all professional requirements before postings are finalised.

The recruitment schedule outlines specific timelines for various categories of health professionals:

Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Physician Assistants (PAs), and Community Health Registered Assistants (CRAs): April 22–25, 2026.

Allied Health Professionals: April 27–May 1, 2026.

Nurses and Midwives: May 4–15, 2026 with priority given to the 2021 batch.

Regional postings will also follow a structured timetable, beginning with the Upper East and Upper West Regions from May 4–5, 2026, and concluding with the Eastern and Greater Accra Regions on May 15, 2026.

Applicants have been urged to strictly adhere to the timelines provided and to promptly seek clarification where necessary.

The Ministry emphasised that the recruitment process is aimed at ensuring transparency and efficiency in the posting of health professionals nationwide.
