During the migration of the Akans to the south, tsetsefly was their albatross. The gene was developed to resist tsetsefly diseases. This gene APOL1 that causes kidney disease was a trade off to resisting tsetsefly disease.
Prof, Harvard researched this, not you as trying to make us believe.
