It would be a good idea for the government as a matter of policy identify, partner, encourage, and incentivize one or two local vehicle manufacturing companies in Ghana to build specialized emergency vehicles -particularly Ambulances- in Ghana for the ministry of health and allied agencies.
You cannot keep importing critical emergency vehicles that you don’t have locally sourced or reliable spare parts for. This same idea goes for municipal buses.
The minister of health and the minister of transport, please do some practical thinking,
