  This programme in nice but needs to be upgraded into a degree programme. We need to seriously deliberate on how to upgrade all other specialist programmes for nurses in Ghana INTO DEGREE PROGRAMMES

  then their sssce results must be considered b4 admission cos some do not meet the standard.they will still sit at the wards and wait foe our kids to die .all they know is money .

  It is very unfortunate that the very government hospital who is to care for the sick people have to take bribe before they treat them. This is not right. If you dont pay bribe they will drag you in and out just to schedule ap ...

  It is very unfortunate that the very government hospital who is to care for the sick people have to take bribe before they treat them. This is not right. If you dont pay bribe they will drag you in and out just to schedule appointment for the sick. I know someone who is pregnant for almost 16months with some kind of a disease with it. She needs surgery and each time they keep changing the appointment. She goes in and they give a new date. She has been back and forth for numerous times just for one surgery. Can the authorities checkout this bribery problems so the sick can be treated fairly. The very institution whom we depend on for care have turn the whole place as money making venture. It is too bad and if nothing is done about it, I make sure I alert international body on this scandal. Is too much, innocent poor Ghanaians are suffering too much.

  Korle-bu teaching hospital should watchout for their inhumane treatment of the sick for their bribery and corruption scandal going on there. One has to pay bribe before appointment are scheduled. If not you will be tossed here and there without getting one. And if you are terribly sick you will die without one. Is too bad and somrthing must be about it.

  Always organizing post basic courses instead of thinking about the academic progression of our dear nurses. With these average certificates the ministry hopes to exploit, impede and retain them locally as it will be difficult for such certificates to fit into other markets.Degrees should be basic and masters for all specialties. We are tired of this "trotro" educational system for nurses. Ghana and nurses deserve better than these hanging diplomas and irrelevant post basic diplomas. Hasten the establishment of the college of nursing and eradicate the difficulty in changing from diploma to degree. After all what prevent structures like Kumasi and Korle-bu NTC's from running undergraduate programmes? Anyway i hope they will be paid better and be given the best of resources,leadership enviroment to work with. God bless Ghana!!!
