  It is interesting how some people see discussing responsible sex talk with adolescents as an immoral act/conduct. Do such people forget that our cultural barriers to protecting adolescents from accessing sexual information of all forms and formats has been rendered loose by technology? By a click on the phone or mouse, there is no sex information that is hidden to the adolescent. What then parents need to do is to discuss sex with young people taking into account the age and information needs of the adolescent. This is proven beneficial to adolescents, parents and even communities in helping prevent teen sexual risk behaviors that expose them to teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and date rape among others. Responsible sex talk with adolescents is long overdue and my organization, LODARMAH NGO has already started a project on "Parent-Child Communication" to help parents build the skills and information needs to take up this responsibility. Youth development activist must make the centrality of this issue a national agenda. It is a step well-taken by Ipas and other sponsors.

  Sex education in high schools in Ghana is normal for teenagers isn't it? If they don't practice that in Ghana education system why not?

  Actually it is good the child knows the effects on sex at eaily age,and this can be through parent and teachers
