  How can we be talking of nets when we should be talking about environmental cleanliness. The nets might form part of the immediate solution, but not the solution to malaria. We need environmental education to help our people change their attitude towards the environment. We also need our institutions in charge of the environment as well as the MMDA's to supervise in bulding proper drainage systems to prevent breeding of mosquitoes. I see the issues of nets as business to those involved. I'm in europe now, and the eradication of malaria is not the result of the use of nets. The environment is the solution. For how long will the net protect us from mosquitos? Lets think...

  MOSQUITOES BREED IN STAGNANT WATER BODIES LIKE THE ODAW "RIVER", IN STAGNANT SURFACE WATER DRAINS, DISUSED CAR TYRES AND ANY OTHER CONTAINER THAT CAN HOLD STAGNANT WATER.
  
  LONG-TERM ERADICATION OF MALARIA CALLS FOR A COMPLETE UNDERGROUND RELATIVELY COST-EFFECTIVE DRAINAGE SYSTEM INSTEAD OF THOSE FOOLISHLY PLANNED IMMOVEABLE CONCRETE SURFACE WATER DRAINS, PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION AND PLANNED CYCLICAL AERIAL SPRAYING WITH INSECTICIDES AS IS DONE IN EVEN THE RELATIVELY POOR CARRIBEAN AND OTHER FORWARD-PLANNING THIRD-WORLD COUNTRIES.

  I found the title of the article so naive that I did not have time to read it. Is he telling us that mosquitoes only bite people in the night? We cannot cover ourselves with ITN nets the whole day. We are in bed only 8 or so hours everyday where nets can be used. What happens then for the rest of the day? This article does not make any sense at all.

  Stupid stupid stupid. What is the writer talking about? We dont hibernate in beds all the time. Are we going to clad ourselves head to toe in Nets to walk about just to avoid mosquitoes? Is this man living o planet earth?
