  Is the writer talking about Shekhinah Clinic in Gurugu and Wamale. If yes , Shekhinah Clinic is not psychiatric hospital, it is a hospital for the poor and destitute . It offers free medical care to these people. It supports the mentally disadvantage, both treatment and feeding them. It is a worthy course to get involved. Kwabena Ntow the Government Psychiatric unit is located at the central Hospital in Tamale 'TI SAMPA' that is dilapidated . and it was not a rehabilitation centre only, it diagnosis, planning care , treatment and monitoring. I agree it is under resource like all other psychiatric units in the country. The Northern region has never had a Psychiatric hospital, it has only a psychiatric unit, just like the other districts have. Please let all support the management and promotion of mental health and well being. Mental disorders is not an instant killer diseases hence the lukewarm attitude towards mental illness. It is important to note that Mental disorders is much more than a killer diseases , it is a destroyer, tear families apart, create suspensions, break trust and many more. I will find time and write more on this topic .
