  I came to Ghana and my stupid tenant's dog bit me and unfortunately a bogus doctor informed me that i had to waite 3 weeks to see if the dog dies. I insisted of a rabies vacine but the doctor denied me of it and said until the dog dies, I wasnt gonna be given anti rabies. I went to another hospital and they told me to rush for anti rabies vacine. I went to different hospitals and they tiold me there was no available anti rabies vacine.
  I waited for a year until I finally got full course of the vacine. I took the vacine for a fact based on my personal research about rabies that, rabies could hide in the human body for 17 years before the virus finally attacks its host.
  
  The government should enforce the medical practitioners to enroll on continous education programe while they're still working as medical practitioners to keep them updated on current medical breakthrough.
  
  The Issue of-waite untill the dog dies is taking many lives in Ghana.

  It is ridiculous the treatment in Ghana is based on if your can prove the dog is rabid. Why would you ask questions like where is the stray dog.
  Patients should be treated first, right away.

  I've seen patients turned away to go find the dog

  Seeking the appropriate treatment after a dog bite is in order. However, the emphasis should be on vaccinating dogs against rabies. Treating a rabid dog bite is already a failure in the system.
