I congratulate Drs. Tawiah and Akunor for their support for the training of health professions to properely manage rabies in patients. The call is appropriate since most victims of dog bites or scratch usually visit our clinics first. I recommend the health profession should after giving the first treatment should direct the victims to the nearest veterinary facility for a follow up check on the rabies status of the dog or pet.
