  If Ghana wants to get ahead it need to reduce the rate of population growth. As it is now we have a large section of the youth 18 to 35 unemployed. Our ability to provide for the children under 12 will be increasingly harder.
  Take cue from China who brought population growth to negative over a period. Germany and Japan all have their population shrinking.

  The practise where newly sworn-in doctors called house officers are left to experiment with serious medical and obstetric cases while the medical officers, specialists and consultants are away must stop. The Ghana health service must ensure that in the referral hospitals there is at least a specialist on duty 24 hours in three shifts to supervise the newly sworn-in doctors at all times.

  @Banana: Don´t disagree with my solution. Different countries train their doctors in different ways and award different degrees. Don´t doubt the wisdom in my words. In some countries in the last year of medical school the students work in the hospital from morning till evening. These students have substantial experience by the time of graduation. Even in these places they are supervised by senior staff.

In Japan, I had seen older people thrown out of their own homes by their own children because they were not financial contributors of the household, they slept under culverts. Note: the student population in China is higher than the whole population of Ghana! Everything boils down to planning and planning ahead. I questioned about the Youth policy In Ghana and got detained at the State House, had it not HE Rawlings who knew about the question and had called the sector Secretary, incidentally that day, the story might had been different. Plan Ahead. Do we need population control in Ghana? Debatable.

  Can you say because a day-old child cannot speak s/he is not a human being? Thus abortion is pure murder as it terminates a life that commenced at conception!!!

  I have been wondering if people do not understand what they say or just want people to swallow some dangerous pill which had been sugar-quoted! How can Family Planning mean 'take a pill or tie that place or remove that part of your body or kill the baby in your womb? How can planning be equated to killing and destruction? Family Planning does not mean birth control. Family Planning is simply put, Family Management. It is only when one fails but wants to impress human beings that this inhuman manipulation comes into play. The pill sent to Africa (Ghana where I lived) and freely given to women brought health problems to the mothers as well as their babies who were, some of them, born with defective limbs - check the records of babies born in the 1960s,see how many cripples and babies without arms and compare to a recent decade or the earlier and throw me a bomb! Talk about birth control and the answer is know when not to have sex. This knowledge is freely taught by Instructors like me, we are all over the place. Stop killing the innocent unborn-babies, it is murder, it is cruelty to human-kind. It shows how defeated we are in planning for human existence on this God given earth!
