  The study should have made clear that employment is predominantly the causes of illness in young people. Depression doesn't come from the blues, it has a precipitation factor. That is unemployment, caused by bad policies and legislature . Root cause must be tackled.

  I think we do have to note that depression is biochemical and not brought on by environmental factors. the symptoms may range from hyperactivity to suicidal thinking. If a person is to survive depression he must first know that it is not his circumstances that are his enemy but his brain chemicals and secondly his thoughts. With medication and therapy it can be resolved. I know because I suffer from manic-depressive disorder. I take carbamazepine and practise Cognitive Recognition Therapy. It has helped make me very productive. Lets stop the misinformation.
