These student went to nursing coz dey v passion and d call for nursing so as u also entered ur tertiary coz u v passion for d program u r persuing.
by d way v u signed a bond wid d govt? dey v done so to serve d country 5 yrs after training.
and der z sense in d allowance payment coz it serves as a bond with health trainees to retain dem in order not to experience " brain drain" and also to close d gap of nurse patients ratio. tnx

So sad that those calling for the cancellation of training allowances for teachers and nurses want it to look as if taking SSNIT loans and others is a panacea to the woes and plight of these category of trainees.

So sad that those calling for the cancellation of training allowances for teachers and nurses want it to look as if taking SSNIT loans and others is a panacea to the woes and plight of these category of trainees.
Incidentally, those calling for this policy have in one way or the other benefited from the existing allowance policy. Some of them trained as teachers or nurses or their parents were able to take them through the Sixth Form to the University because their parents had the relief of this allowance for their other siblings and therefore could care for the rest of them.
Even now that we have these allowances in place,we have a shortage of Teachers and Nurses in those institutions and one can only but wonder what will happen when government stubbornly sticks to its guns and withdraw the subsidies.

Do u know d cost involved in transportation,accomodation and feeding during external clincals and affiliations and d riskd involved???? some students die as reported just last week 5 nursing students died in accident on return from clinical field, odas also get expose to occupational hazards, notwithstanding student nurses pay the range of GHC 3,500 to GHC 5,000 as academic yr fees as the regular medical student at KNUST. pls spare them all these ur rubbish and advics d govt to fulfill its part of d bond coz d studs v fulfilled their part of d bond. this z a big cheat.

Mr. Cousins, seeing some apple juice on the tray, put two and two together, and poured the juice in the specimen glass. The nurse came back and picked up the specimen, held it up to the light and said, “Mr. Cousins, this looks a little off. The color doesn’t seem quite right. Are you feeling okay?” Mr. Cousins reached out his hand for the glass and said, “Here, let me look.”

After looking at it, he said, “Okay, I’ll run it through again,” then drank it. The nurse fainted.
