The Ministry of Health will on Wednesday September 10 begin the distribution of Ebola protective gear to the various public universities in the country.
The distribution of the 1000 pieces of the gear will begin after a short ceremony at the University of Professional studies in Accra.
Speaking to Citi FM, the Public Relations Officer of the ministry, Tony Goodman, said the various universities are expected to take delivery of their consignment after tomorrow’s ceremony.
According to him, the distribution will be done under the supervision of the Education ministry.
“ This is the first delivery of thousand pieces including thermometer for checking the temperature and the rest will arrive later since these ones are urgently needed . The distribution will begin at the University of Development Studies by 8 am tomorrow and the various universities are expected to converge there for their delivery.” He stated.
In all, the ministry is expected to take delivery of over 9000 pieces of the protective clothing.
