The medical superintendent of the hospital have two 2 things in mind as far as management is concerned;stealing and sabotage of staff perceived to be threat to the corrupt and criminal acts in that hospital.Dr. Paul Kwaw Ntodi is a classical example of a square peck in round hole vividly illustrating the nepotism,favoritism and corruption in Ghana Health Service.Whiles mortality and morbidity are sky rocketing in that hospital with serious problems such as frequent shortage of blood,emergency drugs,oxygen and sometimes food for patients he is still in charge for almost a decade.He is noted to be very proud and rude person often clashing with staff because of his autocratic style of leadership.Why this man still remains Medical Director despite frequent agitation by staff for his removal is obvious.He is one of those Medical Directors frequenting GHS headquarters with white envelopes,goats and sheep to pay homage to keep his position for almost a decade now.The law says voluntary transfer within 5 years is mandatory in Ghana Health Service.Why is he still there despite his obvious incompetence, mismanagement and corrupt practices that ensured massive acquisition of wealth at the expense of the hospital and its clients.He is one of those part of the corruption chain in Ghana Health Service with a lengthy span involving top people at headquarters as far as far to district level.That is why he can connive and conspire with the hierarchy of GHS to get doctors dismissed by the Director General.Dr Ebenezer Appiah Denkyira should bow down his head in shame because the chickens are coming back to roost.Dr.Ebenezer Appiah Denkyira sacked doctors at Effia Nkwanta hospital in solidarity with this same Dr. Ntodi because they opposed a bribery scandal involving blood transfusion that killed a teenager at the casualty/emergency of the hospital.The teenager by name patience Sakpetey painfully died because she was denied blood just because she could not afford 50 Ghana cedis bribe demanded by a service provider at Effia Nkwanta Blood Bank.It was this case that triggered the sacking of those doctors from Ghana Health Service orchestrated by Dr. Ntodi ostensibly to cover it up following a media publication of the scandal.The doctors are currently in court with the Ghana Health Service doing everything possible to ensure the heinous, criminal and inhuman act against them is not heard.The then Minister of Health Alban Bagbin for some inexplicable and strange reasons had the sacked doctors letters directly copied to him as if he had an interest.The doctors who were fighting malpractices in blood transfusion services that enriched unscrupulous staff through corrupt and dubious acts have been sacked.The Medical Superintendent presiding over the rot together with his mafia are still there with the illicit and criminal business on-going with the knowledge of top men at both the GHS and the ministry of health.This is how corruption is so deep seated in Ghana.The doctors in that heinous,criminal and inhuman acts by the Director General Ebenezer Appiah Denkyira were dubiously and falsely implicated with a mental illness and then subtly relieved of their post without salary on grounds they refused to have compulsory assessment and treatment for a mental illness in a letter signed by Appiah Denkyira copied to then Minister of health Alban Bagbin.Truth they say is like pregnancy that cannot be hidden with time.The rot at last has forced open a can of worms and is a huge indictment to the integrity of those supposed to be in position of responsibility to deal with malpractices and corruption in the public health sector.Some of us can assure the public that even 20,000000000 units of blood is donated to that hospital it will count to nothing.The blood bank in that hospital is an avenue of illicit wealth acquisition headed by an Ntodi loyalist and exemplify the malpractices and massive corruption in that hospital enriching the MD and his gang whiles multitudes of soles/lives are needlessly sacrificed.May the sole of patience Sakpetey a victim of blood money in Effia Nkwanta hospital blood transfusion scandal rest in peace.Those doctors used as sacrificial lambs and as deterrents by Ghana Health Service to others opposed to corrupt and inhuman acts in the 'Get Rich Quick At All Cost Syndrome' have been vindicated and posterity will definitely come to stay.
