  This is a very loud able idea and kudos to the mayor and all who deemed it necessary to assist Ghana to fight this open defeacation in our system. But my question is what criteria or mechanism will they put in place to make sure that the funds is disbursed properly and no household is left behind. Why not involve organizations who are already into environmental and sanitation improvement to also play a role? Are we sure this program is not gonna end up being means of money making for just some few top officials?

  I'm surprised there is no law up to date against open Defecation?
  In developed countries, if you spit on the ground, you will be punished. If you urinate openly, you will be arrested, not to mention defecating.
