  It will be good to put christ before anyother thing than put human life in danger bcos of material things that are vanity upon vanity.
  One need to understand dat this world has nothing . How many of those who lost their lives bcos this strike go along with them with their wealth? not even their favourite dress ,shoes none food.
  Pls dear doctors put God first in what u are doing n not ndc ,npp or mahama.

  Conditions of service for workers must improve. No one wants to work in the villages and in Northern Ghana because conditions of service are horrible. Stop corruption and mismanagement and you would find money to improve conditions of service for teachers, doctors nurses, police etc. This will translate into better life expectancy which is very low in Ghana. In Europe and America it is about 75-80, in Ghana it is about 40 pr less.

  A man walks into a pharmacy, buys a condom, then walks
  out of the store laughing hysterically. The pharmacist who was on strike
  thinks this is weird, but hey, there's no law
  preventing weird people from buying condoms. Who
  knows, maybe it's a good thing.
  
  The next day, the same man comes back to the store,
  purchases yet another condom, and once again he leaves
  the store laughing wildly. This piques the interest of
  the pharmacist. "What could be so funny about
  buying a condom, anyway?" So he tells his clerk "If
  this guy ever comes back, I want you to follow him to
  see where he goes." Sure enough, the next day the same
  man is back, he buys the condom, and again starts
  cracking up with laughter, then leaves. The
  pharmacist tells his clerk, go follow the guy. About
  an hour later, the clerk comes back to the store.
  
  "Did you follow him? Where did he go?" asks the
  pharmacist.
  
  The clerk replies "Your house."

  There are a lot of pharmacist outside the goverment sector struggling. Don't tolerate pharmacist strikes. Sack them.

  this is just an empty threat.how many pharmacist in Ghana work behind the hospital conter?just few and even those are in the regional hospital.they sit in offices in the district and some regional hospital.Is mostly Pharmacy Technicians who attend to patients by dispensing of their prescribed medication.If Pharmacist decide to withdraw their services who cares.i have been to hospital in Ghana that any time i get served at the counter and asked the rank of the who served me they have always been pharmacy Technicians. i understand their grievances but they have to always work for their money not just been boss.

  What work do pharmacists in Ghana do that they want conditions of service? Dispensing drugs? That's what happen when a country is being ruled by a sloppy dicks!

  Public sector employment is the bane of Ghana. Too many functions are being performed by the public and not the private sector. The government should privatize most of functions that it currently provides. As a way of encouraging private enterprise,the government should establish an agency that grows and nurtures small businesses by offering guaranteed bank loans and training on entrepreneurship. At this state, public sector employment is unsustainable. The country's fiscal woes are the result public sector escalating wages at the time of dwindling state revenues.

  Government should pay them their agreed arrears and they would resume work fully.Four years of painful negotiations,arbitration,discussions what else do you want the Pharmacists working in the public sector to do.
