  This is an excellent insightful article.The health sector is indeed marred with endemic corruption,crass irresponsibility and indiscipline.The problem mainly have to do with ineffective leadership who are not just corrupt but incompetent and irresponsible.Politics indeed is to be blamed because most high profile appointments in the health sector has political under tone and partisan ties.It has led to a situation where competence,experience,incorruptibility and high sense of responsibility are sacrificed for politics driven appointment on the bases of nepotism,cronyism and political loyalty.People lobby and buy their way to occupy very high positions in the health sector using partisan politics as the main driving catalyst other than competence,qualification,work experience and performance rating or index.That is also the reason why the government is reluctant to act in dismissing non-performing,corrupt and incompetent high profile health administrators and managers.Majority have adopted a strategy of leaning against a political party they often sponsor and campaign for to be rewarded with high profile appointments in the health sector when the said party wins power.They then occupy these key,high profile positions without merit with one objective in mind,to recoup money and amass as much wealth as possible through the most dubious and illegal means.The only way to succeed is to rope in and corrupt subordinates they are supposed to supervise leading to a near total paralysis of the health managerial system right from headquarters to the sub district, effectively replaced by an organize crime syndicate that rum parallel from headquarters to sub district level.Through this billions of Ghana cedis meant for health service provision is diverted including donor fund.Supervision and monitoring become ineffective because a corrupt system encourages nepotism and cronyism right from the sub district level to national headquarters with a common agenda to create,loot and share.When corruption and deficiencies are exposed the national boss use his political influence to suppress the rot.So-called loud mouths against corruption in the health sector are then rapidly dismissed by corrupt heads of health institutions to cover the rot in the most heinous and illegal way.When you go to court to fight your case government agencies like the AG Department connive to frustrate and stifle victims of the corruption machinery in the health sector persecuted for speaking out against corruption to protect these party cronies.You are seen as fighting government or the state with your life seriously threatened.This has created a culture of silence and fear in the midst of gargantuan corruption,mismanagement,irresponsibility and crass indiscipline in the health sector in which needless lives are lost at the expense of illegal wealth acquisition by health administrators and managers who should be enforcing strict supervision and monitoring of health services.Unfortunately you cannot hold irresponsible,corrupt and incompetent health institutional heads responsible because they will always hide behind politics to escape accountability as a result of ties with the corridors of powers since everything including serious issues of national importance like health and health service delivery are politicize to our own detriment.

  There is a lot of indiscipline going on at Tsito health centre, Ho West District, where a CHN is causing a lot of indiscipline at the work place. One of the regional directors is dating her so she never gets punished, never go to work, stay at home with her boyfriend whose house is close to the workplace and does not take instruction from her superiors. That CHN and her boyfriend Director, Dr. T.N, has to be brought to book.

  Tsito clinic is the worse in Ho West. A CHN runs that place because her boyfriend is a Director of health in the volta region. Names are available if need be.
