  we need to do a test on those vaccine to find out what chemical, the advantages and disadvantages before such must accepted. Nothing is free from this organization or from the western world.

  PAA, YOU ARE VERY RIGHT THAT WE NEED TO TEST THESE BEFORE GETTING THEM INTO GHANA.
  This Vaccine has already undergone clinical trials in 7 countries including Ghana.
  In Ghana the Kintampo Health Reasearch Center and the Malaria Research Center at Asante Akim Agogo have participated in these trials in the last ten years (since 2016). Ghanaian Scientists from these two institutions have contributed significantly to the current vaccine which is being recommended for PILOT testing in a larger populations in 3 countries including Ghana. The Food and Drug Authority as well as the Ghana Health Service Ethical Review committee have all been involved in this process. Over 3000 Ghanaians have been involved in the last ten years without any serious effect.
  The current recommendation is to replicate this in a larger population and also assess whether we can add to the existing vaccinations that children in Ghana receive.
  The Ministry of Health and the FDA are expected to collaborate and put together an expert team to oversee this.

  Before anyone gives consent to this trial, the MOH needs a critical analysis vis avis step by step monitoring of this trial. Failures or blunders regarding THALIDOMIDE and other abortive trials regarding dangerous drugs raises our safety awareness.

  This is not the first time that this malaria vaccine will be given in Ghana. Ghana has already participated in the Phase II and III trials of this vaccine in the last three years. It's the promising results of these earlier trails that has made WHO recommend that it be done in a larger scale to determine if the effects will be the same as in smaller populations that earlier participated.

  Sometimes it is hard to argue against science and its experiments since it is neccessary in the final analysis to benefit mankind.
  
  But is the selection of countries not arbitary since all the countries are from Africa and there are mosqitoes in the other continents as well.
  
  We must be careful we are not just being used as Guinea pigs for sometthing that has no scientific certainty.

  Yes, African Countries were selected because the disease burden is highest in Africa. Again the vaccine is developed to fight the plasmodium falciparum parasite which is more prevalent in Africa than other continents. 90% of all malaria parasites in Ghana are plasmodium parasites.
