Dr.Raphael Nyarkotey Obu quest to make our brothers awareness of Cancer of the Prostate is quite welcoming for the masses.
But unfortunately he has erred in suggesting that we should embrace conventional treatments such as Surgery, Brachytherapy, Hormonal treatment, chemotherapy.
To-date none of these conventional treatments are effective against Cancer. That's a proven fact.
A breakdown of the mentioned Western treatment by Dr.Dr.Raphael Nyarkotey Obu:-
1. SURGERY: No man in his right mind is going to let anyone cut piece of or the whole prostate gland. Because that will be the end of HIS sex life.
2. Brachytherapy (Radioactive Seed Implantation Therapy)refers to cancer treatment with ionizing radiation delivered via radioactive material placed a short distance from, or within, the tumor. In prostate cancer, brachytherapy involves the ultrasound- and template-guided insertion of radioactive seeds into the gland.
In the 1970s, several centers used brachytherapy to treat prostate cancer. Implants were placed into the prostate under direct vision after open pelvic lymphadenectomy. Unfortunately, long-term follow-up revealed less than satisfactory results in terms of cancer control.
Currently, these less than optimal results are thought to have resulted from 2 problems. The first was a technical inability to accurately implant the sources. The second was the relative paucity of objective dosimetric criteria by which to analyze the radiation dose in that era. Interest in brachytherapy waned in the early 1980s because of these results, the advent of more advanced external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) equipment, and the development of the nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy.
3. HORMONAL TREATMENT:-
Why Is Hormone Treatment Used for Prostate Cancer?
Prostate cancer grows when exposed to the male hormone testosterone and its related hormones, called androgens. Hormone treatment for prostate cancer is used to stop the production of testosterone and all androgens either temporarily or permanently.
Hormone treatments can be given in many ways such as by injection or as pills. Drugs can stop the testicles from producing testosterone and protect cells from any other androgens that remain in the body. Hormone treatment may include:
The use of various hormones such as estrogen to counter the effects of testosterone
The use of drugs that lower testosterone levels or block the activity of male hormones in the body, including antiandrogen agents, luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analogs, or agonists. Newer agents may also block the production of androgens by the adrenal glands.
The use of combined hormone therapy that decreases testosterone production from the testicles, as well as from glands located on the kidneys, called adrenal glands.
Doctors are not aware or fail to point out to their patients that these synthetic chemicals when taken inhibit the natural occurring production of those chemicals in the body which leads to an imbalance in your system. Then you are given another chemicl to counter the effects & symptoms of the 1st one taken. Does this make sense? So where is the cure?
CHEMOTHERAPHY:- There is so so much to say of this treatment but I will try to be as concise as possible.
Everyone who has a mobile phone and microwave oven is having CHEMOTHERAPHY. Yes CHEMOTHERAPHY.
Microwave Ovens & Mobile Phones operates on the same frequencies as the CHEMOTHERAPHY machine in the Lab.
It kills all the GOOD & BAD CELLS in the body. The blood count in the body degrades considerably & in most instances the cancer is reoccurring.
Western medicines only treat the symptoms and not the causes in most cases.
Dr. Nyarkotey rightly stated:- "Cancer is often misunderstood by even the most respected medical professionals in the world. This is because some even believed that people get cancer like the same way they would catch cold or bacterial infection. But in reality, every cell has the ability to be cancerous, and a variety of factors can prompt a cell to do so. And while most Oncologists (and even leading cancer associations) consider cancer a genetic disease, I realized that this is not entirely true."
I concur with the Dr.Nyarkotey on these points mentioned. However lets put the cat among the pigeons.
To have a healthy Prostate gland there have to be a balance in the production of and balance of both Testosterone & Estrogen.
Synthetic chemical grown food & drinks has been proven to be one of the main contributing factors of prostate cancer in men.
In the my youth during the late 40's 50's & 60's prostate cancer was health factor for my Elders here in West Africa apart from one or two cases from the so-called elites of the country who can enjoy the imported foods & drinks from Europe.
Now everyone has access to it and all the sickness that comes with the consumption of these unnatural foods. Cancer is big business and it's fuel by our greed for imported Industrial carcinogenic products.
Let me conclude by expanding Dr.Nyarkotey statements on the point of cultural/ethnic/regional diets.
Cancer is not a disease.
It occurs when you have a damaged immune system where the pre-progammed cells fails to die by consumption of or exposure to harmful toxins which eventually ends up in the prostate. But a tumor can occur anywhere in the body.
All the varied earth food that we grow in Africa naturally and consume are all medicinal.
That's a fact. Educate yourself by Googling "The health Benefits of Coco Yam, bananas, plantain, peppers, etc.
