Agona East MP inspires, rekindle NDC spirit in branch executives

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East, Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyer has held an end of four-year service with party branch executives to encourage and rekindle the spirits of the party in its membership.

The meeting was held at Agona Kwanyako under the theme, "Those Returning Be More Faithful Than Before,” and was used by the MP to build trust within the party executives across the branch levels within the constituency and also put smiles on their faces.

According to the MP, Hon Maame Pokuah Sawyer, the occasion was to build the front of the branches ahead of then party’s branch elections.

The MP also used the occasion to admonish, urge and inspire all nine executive members from each of the 107 branches to put their shoulders to the wheel towards ensuring the comeback of the NDC in 2020.

A lot of activities took place, and the testimonies and assurances given by the executives to work extremely harder than before to recapture power in 2020 were simply amazing.

Maame Pokuah Sawyer as usual dined, wined and danced with her people whilst presenting items such as hairdryers, Plasma TVs, mobile phones, electric irons, bicycles, standing fans, mattresses, bags of perfume rice, oils among others were given out just to strengthen the efforts of the executives to continue working excellently for the party.

The oldest and longest serving branch youth organizer won an award because his branch, Mensakwaa got the highest votes in the parliamentary and presidential elections in the constituency.

She also encouraged those who may be losing their respective positions during the branch elections not to feel neglected, but continue to remain faithful as they have been over the years so as to stand united for victory in 2020.

The MP later presented undisclosed amounts of money to every individual for their upkeep and pledged her continuous commitment to feed the BECE candidates every year in the Area; whether in government or otherwise.
