The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has said that the president should order the arrest of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Identification Authority(NIA), Professor Ken Attafuah.

In the interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com, NDC scribe said although a High Court in Accra on Monday granted an interim injunction preventing the National Identification Authority (NIA) from going ahead with its registration exercise in the Eastern Region for ten days, Ken Attafuah should be arrested for going against the president’s order.
“Ken Attafuah was aware of the president’s directive placing an injunction on all social gathering but he intentionally ignores the president’s order and he must be arrested”, he said.
When the host Citizen Kofi Owusu said Ken Attafuah earlier made it clear that he has put in place safety precautions, Asiedu Nketia replied:
“Did the president say we should put safety precautions in place or we should stop social gathering…Why was Ghana medical association going against his actions, it means he is wrong”. He quizzed
The President’s directives among others called for the suspension of all social activities or gatherings for four weeks to prevent COVID-19 from spreading in the country.
