Asanteman is NPP! and NPP is Asanteman! - Napo hails incredible crowds for Bawumia

Manhyia South Member of Parliament, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, alias Napo, has celebrated the massive crowds that greeted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia, during his recent engagements in the Ashanti Region, the NPP stronghold.

Napo, rumoured to be a strong running mate contender to the Vice President ahead of the 2024 polls underscored the key contribution of the region to the NPP's electoral fortunes.

In a post on his X handle (June 11, 2024) he stated: "Asanteman is NPP! and NPP is Asanteman! Incredible welcome for our flagbearer and leader, His Excellency, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

His post accompanied by photos of Bawumia's visit added: "It is indeed Possible! Momentum is on our side!"

Napo's colleague, NPP MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong was the main point of interest on Bawumia's campaign rounds on Tuesday.

Agyapong's involvement in the campaign is seen as a significant boost for Bawumia who the Assin Central MP, challenged for the NPP flagbearership slot last year.

Also, present at the event were the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, alias Chairman Wontumi, NPP National Chairman Stephen Ntim, Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, and the Vice President himself.
