Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, the National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared the party’s readiness to engage in a debate with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) under any conditions.
In a recent Facebook post, Nana B expressed the NPP’s willingness to debate the NDC, even if the event were to take place at the NDC's headquarters or be moderated by the NDC’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
“DMB is ready to debate JDM even with Asiedu Nketia as the moderator and at the NDC’s headquarters or JDM’s office as the venue,” Nana B stated.
This declaration comes in the wake of calls from the NPP’s flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for a debate with the NDC's flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama.
Despite these calls, Mahama has not officially responded to the debate challenge. His aide, Joyce Bawah, has dismissed the debate suggestion, arguing that there is nothing substantial to debate about given the current economic challenges.
