A Commission of inquiry needs to be set up to investigate President Mahama and his government over the massive corruption and rot in government, Edmund Kyei, the Asokwa Constituency Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Kumasi, has disclosed.

Speaking with DAILY GUIDE, the NPP man complained bitterly about how corruption has reached its all-time high in government corridors lately.

He said the country is retarding in growth under the NDC administration because corruption has become the order of the day.

Mr Kyei applauded the idea of setting up a commission to investigate the rot that rocked Ghana during the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup.

He, however, stated that similar commission should be set up as soon as possible to investigate corrupt practices in government.

Mr Kyei said the commission should investigate President Mahama to the last person in his administration to help unearth the rot characterising his administration.

He dared President Mahama to allow a commission of inquiry to investigate his administration if he (Mahama) thinks he is clean.

The Asokwa Constituency Communications Director of the NPP insisted that President Mahama’s poor government style and lack of effective leadership had paved way for corruption to boom in his administration.

He said a commission of inquiry was critically needed to investigate the President more than the Brazil fiasco.

Mr Kyei accused President Mahama of being the cause of the current economic hardships being suffered by Ghanaians.
