The flag bearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, has appealed to the people of Krachi in the Volta Region not to vote for any party that embarks on emergency road projects to win their mandate ahead of December’s elections.
Addressing the people of Osramanae in the Krachi West constituency on Tuesday September 6 as part of his Apam Fofor? tour of the area, Mr Greenstreet said: “I am pleading with you; don’t vote for last-minute roads. The last time I came here, this road was not like that and all of a sudden somebody has done the road because you know the answer, I will not talk.”
The National First Vice Chairperson of the party, Hajia Hamdatu Ibrahim, advised the electorate to examine their living conditions and vote for the CPP flag bearer who will, in turn, transform their lives and bring development to their communities as Kwame Nkrumah did in the past.
The Volta regional chairman of the CPP, Mr Thomas Ntumi, described the CPP as a peaceful party. He urged the CPP youth not to allow themselves to be used as agents of anarchy ahead of the election. He called for peace before, during, and after the election.
