Maxwell Konadu will be handed the Black Stars No.2 job following the re-appointment of Kwesi Appiah but there are doubts over his future, GHANAsoccernet.com sleuth hounding reveals.
It appears the romance of the ex-Kotoko trainer with the Black Stars will come down crushing if the Ghana FA's technical chief Francis Oti Akenteng is to be believed.
Appiah has decided to work with his former No.2 man and will scout the pool to also select from other sources, insiders have GHANAsoccernet.com.
Ex-Ghana international Ibrahim Tanko is the front-runner to deputize for the 57-year-old with former captain CK Akunnor the remote candidate to assist.
However, Ghana FA technical chief Francis Oti Akenteng has confirmed the future of Konadu remains unknown.
“If a coach is appointed and he is coming with his backroom staff then Maxwell’s fate will surely not be known as an assistant coach again “, he told Starr Sports.
Konadu has been an assistant since 2012 where he worked under under Kwesi Appiah and Avram Grant.
