I will decide who become executives in NDC - Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako has vowed to determine for the opposition NDC, who become officers in that party from the constituencies to the national level.

Wontumi, who is seeking for a second term at his post told a gathering of NPP constituency executives at Agona in the Afigya Sekyere East Constituency to advise the NDC to watch out for his influence during their internal elections come September.

Today's gathering climaxed his 3-day tour of the region which saw executives from the all 47 constituencies endorsing him for a second term.

According to Wontumi, his unnoticed influence on the top hierarchy and grassroots of the NDC contributed to the party's abysmal showing at the 2016 general elections.

He also told the gathering his greatest ambition is to see the NPP break the 8-year power jinx by winning elections beyond 2024.
