The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has referred the Bono Regional Chairman of the party, Kwame Baffoe (aka Abronye DC), to its disciplinary committee.

In a statement sighted by GhanaWeb, Justin Kodua indicated that he had petitioned the National Disciplinary Committee of the NPP regarding Abronye’s conduct.

He accused the NPP Bono Regional Chairman of engaging in activities that were hurting the party’s image, including insulting a senior member of the party, Kennedy Agyapong, and making baseless allegations against him (Justin Kodua).

“Mr Baffoe is reported to have publicly insulted Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, a distinguished member of the Party, with derogatory statements, including a claim that ‘even the elephant has more wisdom than Hon. Agyapong.’ Such remarks are unprintable, defamatory, and damaging to the reputation of Hon. Agyapong and the Party at large.

“Mr Baffoe further alleged that the General Secretary deliberately concealed a report that purportedly implicated Hon. Agyapong as the destroyer of the Party and recommended his expulsion. These allegations are false, malicious, and injurious to the integrity of the Office of the General Secretary,” part of the statement, which was issued on September 30, 2025, reads.

The General Secretary also accused Abronye DC of misrepresenting a finding of a report of the Disciplinary Committee, which he said amounts to disrespect of the committee.

“Mr Baffoe has purported to disclose and misrepresent the contents of a Disciplinary Committee report, alleging that it catalogued various offences attributed to Hon. Agyapong. Such conduct constitutes a serious breach of confidentiality, discretion, decorum, and party discipline, while also undermining the authority of the Committee,” he said.

He, therefore, asked the committee to investigate the NPP Bono Regional Chairman and take the necessary action against him.
