Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has insisted the Black Stars will not underrate the squirrels of Benin when they face-off in their African Cup of Nations opener on Tuesday.
Appiah opined that no team will be underrated as the Black Stars continue their chase for their first African Cup of nation trophy in 37 years.
Speaking to the media before Tuesday’s game against Benin, Kwasi Appiah insisted the Black Stars will not underrate any team in the competition.
“Modern football has changed and there is no way you can underrate any team and every team is pushing”
“But I believe in my players, I have full confidence in them and I know they will deliver”
“All the teams in our group are strong but the most important thing is preparing well to face them and that’s what we have done”
Defending champions Cameroon will face Guinea-Bissau at the Ismailia Stadium in Group F opener before Ghana face Benin at the same venue later in the day.
