An NPP communicator, Alfred Ababio Kumi, has said that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, is the President that Ghana never wanted in this fourth republic.

His statement is a result of Mahama's statement, at the NDC’s manifesto launch, that the NPP and President Akufo-Addo are a political scam.

In a post shared on X, Alfred Ababio described the remarks made by the NDC’s flagbearer as disturbing.

He said, “It is very disturbing to hear from @JDMahama during his speech at the manifesto launch saying that NPP and President Addo is a political scam.”

Alfred Ababio said that considering the track record of the NDC flagbearer, he has no business in talking about corruption.

He described Mahama as a world-renowned political fraudster.

“John Mahama is talking about corruption, JIDA, John Mahama SADA, Bus branding John Mahama. He should come back and talk about corruption when the guinea fowls come back. Then you hear John Mahama saying that NPP is a political scam. I can say on authority as I’m sitting here that John Mahama is the president that Ghana never wants. In this fourth republic, John Mahama is the president Ghana never wanted. Check his track records. And he has the right to call someone a scam. If we talk about world-renowned political fraudster it is John Mahama.”

He further accused John Mahama of laying claims to the free SHS policy.

“You told us that you started free SHS, go and look at the details of you starting free SHS, it was contained in the 2015 or 2016 budget, you were paying GH¢38 for someone who is paying fees of over GH¢450. The NDC and John Mahama told us that it will take us 20 years before free SHS can be implemented. By the grace of God, we got someone competent enough who said that if we must implement free SHS it must be done immediately. He didn’t implement it for only day students, he said that if it is free, it must be free for all.”

He added that “Today John Mahama is saying that he will give us jobs. Is he not the same person who said that he is not a magician? Is he not the one? Or has he visited India for magic? If he has travelled back from India, they should tell us.” Alfred further stated in the video.

"It baffles me. With this same scam they have started saying that they implemented the National Health Insurance Scheme. In 2003 when the act was sent to parliament to be passed, they walked out of parliament. Check the facts. So, what are they telling us. So, who is more of political fraudsters and scam than this people."
