The Presidential Candidate of the People’s National Congress (PNC), Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama has described his running mate for the December 7 general election, Emmanuel Anyidoho, as a humble servant who will not lord it over Ghanaians if the PNC assumes power come January 7, 2017.
The Nkrumahist party settled on the Harvard-trained economist, as its vice-presidential aspirant to partner Dr Mahama to wrestle power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the impending poll.
Mr Anyidoho was chosen on the basis of his humility, grasp of the Ghanaian situation and his exemplary and visionary leadership.
He has in the past worked with United Nations (UN), the African Union (AU), the Ministry of Finance and also lectured at the University of Ghana. The party believes Anyidoho’s partnership to Dr. Edward Nasigrie Mahama on the ticket of the PNC will guide the party win power in the upcoming 2016 elections because he[Anyidoho] comes to the table with a lot of experience to compliment the exceptional and impeccable record of the Flagbearer.
Speaking during the outdooring of the Running mate in Accra on Wednesday, Dr Edward Mahama was confident that Mr Anyidoho partnering him, will make a good pair for the Presidency in 2017.
“I chose this gentleman because I have known him for over ten years and he has the humility of Jesus Christ to serve. Leadership without humility is no leadership at all.”
