Deputy National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged members of the party to get involved in the reorganization exercise and take interest in electing selfless, hardworking and committed branch executives as the party will soon begin its branch election.

The NDC lost power to President Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2016 general elections after 4 years of Mahama-led government.

It has since its defeat, embarked on several exercises upon recommendations of the Prof Kwesi Botchwey Committee to restructure, rebuild and rebrand the party for future elections.

The National Executives Committee in a statement released over the past weeks, approved 14th April to 30th April as the period for the conduct of its Branch elections and charged the Regional Executives to ensure the fruitful conduct of same.

The two-term Deputy National Organizer, Mr Joshua Hamidu Akamba in a Facebook post, admonished party members to take the destiny of the party into their hands and help elect selfless, hardworking and dedicated leaders for the party.

Mr Akamba further advised the party members not to fall prey to the tricks of Self-seeking individuals and group of persons in the party who would want to use money to buy votes.

He asked the party members to "take the monies but vote for the right leaders", as that is the only way the party can regain power in the 2020 general elections.
