Campaign team members of National Democratic Congress flagbearer hopeful, Joshua Alabi have taken what seems like a subtle swipe at former President John Dramani Mahama, charging the party’s National Executive Council and Council of Elders to organise a transparent free and fair election.
According to the team, some party executives who have thrown their weight behind a candidate should be sure to observe the party rules to the a free and fair election.
The team also stated that no individual will be allowed to hijack the party to fulfil personal ambitions.
At a press conference organised in Accra, Campaign Coordinator of Joshua Alabi, Victor Adawudu called for inclusiveness in the electoral process, adding that every aspirant should have a representative on the election committee.
“We urge the National Executive Committee and the Council of Elders to put in place an Election Committee that will manage the process and supervise the election of the flagbearer without fear or favor. We intend to propose for the consideration of the party that every aspirant should have a representative on the election committee. “
Victor Adawudu also said not all the aspirants have songs and even if all of them have (songs), it will be difficult to play them one-by-by at the party's programmes, hence the need to limit the songs to those of the partys’.
