Paga (U/E), Oct. 7, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Chiana-Paga Constituency, Mr Leo Kabah on Wednesday called on the Party's supporters to intensify their campaign and reach out to all remote communities in the area.

He noted that the people needed a change as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) incumbent Member of Parliament; Mr Pele Abugah had been in office for the past 12 years with little to show for it.

Mr Kabah, who is a Legal Practitioner, was speaking at a durbar at Paga organised by NPP supporters to interact with him and also to congratulate him on being called to the Bar recently.

He said that the people had begun to appreciate the work of the Government as the area had had six new school blocks and two clinics in various communities since the year 2001.

He said the Government had many good plans for the area, including the building of a Senior Secondary School, access roads, and extending electricity to the remote communities and urged the people of the area to vote massively for the NPP in Election 2004.

Mr Kabah urged the people to take up the campaign seriously and encourage many to join the Party.

Mr Mahami Salifu, Upper East Regional Minister, asked the people to vote for a change but endeavour to maintain the peace, as politics was not meant to make enemies of brothers.

He advised them not to be influenced by gifts but be guided by a desire to see development in their area and a better Ghana for their children.

Some elders congratulated Mr Kabah for his academic achievement and promised to guide their people to make a good choice of a Member of Parliament for the area.
