A member of the Progressive People's Party, Charles Owusu, says the votes declared for the Presidential Candidate of his party in the 2012 general election is not a true reflection of what Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom truly obtained.

According to him, the verdict of the Supreme Court, in the case brought by Nana Akufo-Addo and co. challenging the validity of the 2012 election results, will show that Dr. Nduom obtained more than 200,000 votes.

Mr. Owusu made this known at an LMVCA rally held at the Metro Mass Transit station on Sunday at Swedru.

Charles Owusu maintained that the PPP and its Presidential Candidate are a much formidable force than the results declared for them by the EC in the December elections.

As an indicator of how the results of the elections were rigged massively, in the opinion of PPP, for John Mahama; were the results in the Ablekuma North and South constituencies where the PPP obtained the same number of votes in both constituencies.

He noted that the hardship Ghanaians were going through at the moment are as a direct result of the incompetence and lack of vision of the John Mahama and the NDC government, and the fact that John Mahama did not win the 2012 elections.

He assured the gathering that the Supreme Court will “reverse this illegality very soon” and the rightfully elected President, Nana Akufo-Addo, will be declared in due time.

Also, at the event, the Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwamina Duncan, says the John Dramani Mahama led National Democratic Congress can be described as a "soon to expire government".

According to him, the Supreme Court will soon vindicate the position of the LMVCA that the 2012 elections were rigged massively for John Dramani Mahama.
