Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Mike Oquaye
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Prof. Aaron Michael Oquaye is 75 years old today.
Members of Parliament who could not hide their joy eulogised his achievement and wished him well.
The Minority Chief Whip, Hon. Mohammed Mubarak-Muntaka who led his side to congratulate the Speaker urged the House to take keen interest in honouring the sons and daughters of the land who have in diverse ways contributed to the development of the nation when they are alive and not wait until they pass away.
He lauded the Speaker for being a worthy example for society to emulate and also commended him for contributions in transforming Parliament.
The deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, also lauded the Speaker for being a unifier and living a worthy life worth emulating.
She went further to congratulate the Speaker’s mother and the wife who have in diverse ways contributed to the success life of the Speaker.
