A video has emerged of some demonstrators who participated in the Enough Is Enough Demo organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, defacing some posters of John Dramani Mahama.

The posters, as has been shared by Yayra Koku on his X page, are not from the NDC, but from some persons believed to be against Mahama and using such a medium as a smear on the former president.

And upon reaching the site of the construction of the National Cathedral in Accra, as is seen in the video accompanying his post, some of the protesters used some objects to deface the posters that had been splashed on the partitions used to enclose the building site.

From what can be seen on the posters, it read things like, “He is desperate and will say anything for power.”

It is unclear who is behind these posters, but Yayra Koku in his comment, seemed to point at the opposition NPP.

“When defeat is staring you in the face, this is what you do. The NPP has wasted taxpayer money by printing and distributing FAKE posters about HE John Dramani Mahama.

“Some demonstrators saw the posters yesterday and responded appropriately to some of them,” he wrote.

The Enough Is Enough Demonstration was organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to press the Electoral Commission for a forensic audit of the voter register ahead of the December 7 general elections.

According to the party, it has identified various discrepancies in the existing voter roll which would require a thorough independent audit to resolve.

The party, at the end of Tuesday’s protest, presented a petition to the commission to press home their demands.
