It is indeed heartbreaking to hear some Ghanaians advocating that Bawumia be made the President of Ghana. Are Ghanaians not really people of short memory? We were in Ghana when Akufo-Addo was appealing to Ghana to try him as President. The outcome of heeding Akufo-Addo's appeal is the mess we are in today as a nation.
Bawumia from nowhere was rushed by Akufo-Addo to become the Vice President of Ghana. He has no output as the Vice President. All that he has demonstrated to be good in is digitilization which in itself a product of the past NDC government. His claim to be an Economist who can help address the economic challenges Ghanaians were facing for which reason Akufo-Addo was propelled to power has been abandoned. Why should Ghanaians reward NPP for the third time in office after this gargantuan failure?
Let us take note that Bawumia was rushed into the Vice President position and for that reason could not honestly distinguish himself in government. Why should such a fellow be made the President of Ghana at the expense of the more matured John Mahama. I challenge all those who are advocating for Bawumia to be tried as President of Ghana to compare the track record of John Mahama and that of Bawumia and his boss, Akufo-Addo put together. They performed abysmally when compared to John Mahama. I think under no any circumstances should Bawumia be made the President of Ghana. A word to the wise is enough.
