Naana Opoku Agyeman is a Fanti indigene from Komenda. Her maiden name was Jane Naana Sam. She studied at WGHS where she was the Senior Prefect in 1979-71. She continued her studies at UCC in 1971, continued in France, returned to teach at UCC and rose through the ranks to become the VC of the University. In fact, she has been the very first female VC that has headed a university in Ghana. She got married to Kwasi Opoku Agyeman who was her senior in UCC in the 1970s, hence her married name Opoku Agyeman. Both her late parents came from Komenda in the Central Region. She will still be a bona-fide Ghanaian even if she came from Kulungugu. Enough of this tribal nonsense from Wontumi and his ill-educated followers.

THE KUMASI, Takoradi and the Tamale airports are to be refurbished to international standards by the end of this year for the Confederation of African Football tournament (CAN 2008) to be held in Ghana.

With these objectives, the Ministry of Aviation has tabled a proposal before cabinet for approval for the commencement of the project.

Speaking on Peace FM, an Accra based radio station yesterday, the Minister of Aviation, Madam Gloria Akuffo said the rehabilitation of the three airports would cost government US$43.65 million.

She said the Takoradi airport rehabilitation would cost US$17.55 million while that of Kumasi would be US$13.6 million. US$12.5 million is earmarked for the Tamale airport project.

On the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), the Minister said the third phase of the KIA project would continue.

The Minister was reacting to a report from Kumasi that the airport was without water and lights to guide aircraft to land on the runway.

She stressed that temporary rehabilitation would be more expensive as it would not last.

And this would take leaders who have the country at heart to bring Ghana back to its original status. These are some of the propaganda they do, and when Ghanaians loose guide, and don't think through, they are deceived and vote for such a party. Don't forget, they did the same to even the great Dr Kwame Nkrumah the founder of Ghana.
