  Can't hold elected officials accountable when much of the country's media outlets are run or owned by thieving politicians. It takes a real independent media to keep the citizens informed about the activities of their elected officials. Also, without strong governmental institutions, it becomes difficult to hold those agencies accountable. Can't hold agencies accountable when they claim to operate an open government but continue to engage in dealings behind closed doors, dealings that often come to the attention of the public only after they've been consummated. Without an open government and genuinely independent media outlets, it's practically impossible for the public to be informed so that it can hold elected officials accountable. The thieving politicians have set up the system in way that is intended to keep voters in the dark. In effect, voters have taken the role of sperm donors, cast votes and then be relegated to the dark sideline.

  Can somebody tell this guy Moronsi Dankwa to live in reality, instead of living in total self denial? I believe the guy lacks realism, because if his mother died under the P/ NDC’s “cash and carry” system in which people were turned away from hospitals because they didn’t have the means to pay their medical bills, so why is he now hellbent on bringing the same Rawlings / Mahama’s P/ NDC government that contributed towards his mother’s predicaments back to govern the country? Since according to his own statement they ( P/NDC) failed to implement prudent fiscal and medical policies back then— and the reason Ghana experienced such totally dilapidated economic situations!
