The greatest threat to democracy is this very low quality of contemporary Ghanaian politics, which deliberately lowers politicians in the eyes of voters. It's a race to the bottom and the standards of campaign messages to attacks and loose talk, leaving non-partisan voters like us feel disrespected by the indisciplined extremists who dominate and call the shots in the two major parties.
