However, I don't side with you when you said Ghana was in shambles when Kufour assumed the helm of affairs. Until 1999 when the economy of Ghana had hiccups as a result of fall in commodity prices and rise in crude prices, Ghana under JJ was managed quite well. JJ is a very competent person blessed with exceptional leadership qualities. This is a person, who knows his limitations and appointed very capable people. He doesn't discriminate provided you could do the job no matter your persuations. For God sake, Dr, do not denigrate the contribution and sacrifice of this great son of Ghana who is also your cousin. I respect Kufour, but we all know and saw his flaws. His first term was nothing to write about and he nearly lost the 2004 elections owing to that. He however made some amends during the subsequent term.
