The phone is never free and you dont pay Ghc1 or Ghc2 cedis monthly. You actually pay more on monthly basis to include the cost of credit they are granting to you.

The phone companies will hide the actual cost of the phone in dubious billing tactics. You can go for it for free but somehow and in some ways, you’ll be paying. For example, the monthly rate or cost of call per minute may be higher than other competitors. The rate of call per minute could also be different had you paid in advance for the phone. There’s nothing like a free bank loan. In the case of phone companies, your freedom of choice and independence are the costs you pay for a free phone. You must stay with the same company for a certain duration of time.
