Since independence, no bill passage in parliament has attracted embarrassing drama than this particular E-Levy, the NPP forecast answer to Ghanaian economic woes, but never was. Incidents like parliamentarians from both sides physically fighting each, fake Adwoa Safo in parliament, conveying stroke ridden patient from hospital in ambulance to vote, illegal closure of toll booths subsequently leading to dismissal of 1000s of disabled workers and displacement of nearly 100,000 sellers nationwide whose livelihood affected dependants, etc.

That jester Bawumia thinks all Ghanaians are idiots, before you will know if his stance on E levy today, makes sense or not, you will first have to ask yourself that, Who introduced it? Akufo Addo and his cabinet, of which Bawumia was part, You then ask, Who is the strongest supporter of Bawumia's bid to be president? Akufo Addo should be the answer of course. So therefore, if Bawumia thinks E levy and certain taxes are an obstacle for him actualizing his dream of becoming president, what would you have done if you were Akufo Addo the president, who so desperately wants to see Bawumia succeed him? Any rightful thinking human being with brains in the head, if the person were in Akufo Addo's shoes, will without thinking twice, remove the E levy and all other taxes that the citizens hate,with immidiate effect to pave way for Bawumia's victory. So if Akufo Addo hasn't abolished it yet and Bawumia is promising to abolish it only after he is voted for, what does that imply? He is lying just to solicit for votes, because like I said above, Akufo Addo is ready to do anything to help him win the election, which includes the abolishment of the E levy or any other thing.All legitimate voters, should remember this same Bawumia promised them to vote for his boss, so he abolished all taxes and move the nation to production, But ended up increasing taxes than Mahama ever did, juxtipose the two, and you will know, he's just repeating same tactics now. After he's voted for, u cannot do anything if he refuses to honour anything he promised u, it's either he do it now(which he can) to show you he really means business or it's all lies and deception.

I don’t blame him but rather I blame Kwame Sefa Kyan who calls him on his show. Why can’t Kwasi Pratt for once be matured enough to speak sensibly rather than attacking the character of others. Hasn’t Dr. Bawumiah on several occasions spoken against the E Levy and has promised to take it off the tax system when he’s elected? Kwasi Pratt if John Mahama is your idol stick to that and stop attacking Dr Bawumiah’s personality. Level headed elders would advice him to step down, but not these greedy hungry bootlickers. Moving away from taxation to production and you have supervised the direct opposite; more taxes and contraction in production. And you want to tell us to take you seriously? Businesses are relocating to our neighboring Togo and cote'd Voire due to rising cost of doing business. Instead of Bawuliar addressing the issues confronting us now, he is rather promising to withdraw his own E-Levy only if and when we allow him to be president. By which time all multinationals have left. What a blackmail? This Bawuliar think he is smarter than everybody! Disgrace awaits him.

Bawumia has promised Ghanaians that if he becomes president he will abolish e-levy. Kwasi, bear in mind that Bawumia is a vice president and he doesn't have the power to make a final decision. He can only advise the president; the president can take his advice or refuse to take it.

Cos of E - levy , personally I've stopped doing momo to bank and bank to momo transactions. It appears to be cheaper and much more convenient to withdraw cash to do businesses than to use electronic means of payment.
