The man was an NPP MP and even as an independent MP, he still sits and votes with the NPP. So, how do you declare his seat vacant because he has chosen to contest on the ticket of the NPP? How are his constituents affected by his decision when he is already aligned with the NPP? I'm sure you will now refer me to the law and that is why you cannot use your LOGIC AND COMMON SENSE to determine what you feel is the proper thing to do. Let's allow the law to work. That's how democracies and nations are built.

If article 97 is referring to a futuristic plan, then what is it's purpose in the constitution? Does that criminal Godfred Dame know what or where he will be on 9 December 2024? Those guys were sacked from their party. The constitution says they should vacate their seats and that stupid buffoon Godfred Dame said it is in the future. My biggest concern is that the partisan Supreme Court will not take their time to understand the constitution or the English but jump to support Godfred Dame. Ghana has now become a banana republic.

  Arguments at this stage should be left to the lawyers directly involved in this case. At the end of the day it’s the Supreme Court that will decide where the chips will fall. Hold your horses and wait for the substantive matter to be adjudicated by the Supreme Court. In the meantime the status quo ante remains in parliament per their original ruling. There’s no need to split hairs over this as the Speaker and his cohorts have tried to do.

  Conscience and moral values are the only things that make Positive law and its application relevant to the society. Their absence in man made law application render that law a fertile ground for crime.. Lawyers must know this.

  The NPP should apologize to the Fomena MP for the disgrace and the belittlement they mattered on him in 2020.On that occasion,the President boldly went to Fomena and held raised the hand of the NPP choice of a parliamentary Candidate and said that he was not ready to work with Independent candidate becos.he was no more and NPP, and his reason was that the former MP was no more their member,and Mr. President was right,becos the NPP constitution has said that as soon as you come out to contest an NPP officially nominated candidate,you have automatically forfeited you membership.So what is different today.
