In this reflective period, I would like the NPP to accept the fact that it is a regional and ethnically based party given it won only 3 out of 16 regions, all mostly Akan dominated areas. The NPP needs to accept this fact and try to encroach on the rest of the country as the NDC also attempts to win votes in the Ashanti region. This fact will force the parties to look beyond their comfort zones. This is good for Ghana politics because hopefully, the parties will become true representatives of the people. Most importantly, if the character of the Ghanaian politicians do not change, no government or party can build the country. Be truthful and honest with people. A strong government and a strong opposition is good for the country.

My prediction is that the patience of ordinary Ghanaians has almost reached its limits.I predict that anyy attempt by the incoming elected politicians to follow a similar path as their predicessors will lead very quickly to a Sri-Lanka type nationwide uprising.There will be no military takeover again for the next several decades ,it will be the people themselves who take things into their own hands.
MY ADVICE TO THE INCOMING ELECTED PUBLIC SERVANTS IS THAT THEY PERSUE A VERY DIFFERENT PATH TO THAT TAKEN BY THE OUTGOING ADMINISTRATION OR THAT FOLLOWED BY THEMSELVES WHEN THEY WERE LAST INSTALLED IN GOVERNMENT.They will not be given the same grace if they choose to follow the same corrupt practices persued by the outgoing administration.
