  Your analysis is disappointing. Who defines "trust" in relation to the operations at the EC establishment in a competitive political environment: the opposition party, the party in power, or the general public? Don't talk for the general public without researching their views. Doc, go back to history from the time Rawlings appointed Oduro Numapau as the EC. Today we are hailing Afari Gyan as a saint, but we recall he too had his fair share "trust" issues so far as the then opposition NPP was concerned. At least, some of his election results were challenged in court. He was appointed by an NDC administration and so was PERCEIVED by the opposition to be in bed with that government. In Ghana, there is no EC without honour save in the sight of an opposition party hungry for power. It shd also be clearly understood that the EC is a creaion of law under the constitution. Officials of the EC cannot be removed unless the constitution or laws allow it, not through political or social agitations. The NDC is not coming to power through a COUP, but through a constitutional process. Let's allow our democratic institutions to work and grow to be stronger and stable to serve the best interest of Ghana as a whole, rather than serving the interests of any transient political party.
