All politicians are guilty of bobbing and jiving with the truth at critical times. We can ignore these foibles as and when. Dr Bawumia's main problem is that he is very evidently a gentleman at heart and is therefore in the wrong Party. There is nothing at all about him that is of typical NPP orientation. If he continues to stay in that Party, he will continue to swim against the tide to his own disadvantage.

Lastly, if, as he claims, he and the NPP knew the results of the election roughly 8 hours after the end of voting, surely, they should then know the results of the 9 outstanding constituencies whose results are yet to be officially declared.

President John Evans Atta Mills, who was the junior president, died followed by the senior president Jerry John Rawlings. The two of them are now there interceding for the NDC, hence the massively electoral victory for the party.
