Really, just an apology for spending the taxpayers money recklessly.
He must go and face Police disciplinary procedure as would have been required of others. Minister designate, please your answer is unacceptable.

His apology isn't enough, he.must be suspended. If you truly told him not to do that and he still went ahead to do so then you can not trust him as bodyguard, neither a law abiding officer who can serve his country with diligence and respect.

He must be suspended plus salary withheld for a period of time to serve as deterrent for other Police officers who think they can take the law into their own hands.

Being nominated for the position of Interior Minister isn't a Jamboree to be firing stray bullets in the air. He's stupid to have acted that way when told not to.
